Donald Trump and the FCC, Federal Communications Commission, announced measures to accelerate the deployment of the 5G in the US.
The 5G industry will invest $275bn in the US and create 3 million jobs. AT&T and Verizon have already deployed the 5G, whereas T-Mobile and Sprint will do it in 2019. The US Federal Communications Commission (FCC) will open more rapidly spectrum bands and remove some legal hurdles to facilitate the 5G network construction. FCC will permit installation of antennas on private properties, mainly in rural areas. FCC will set up a $20.4bn fund to improve 5G access in rural areas.
US Administration and FCC will soon authorize the T-Mobile-Sprint merger. Sprint is one of the best positioned mobile carriers in spectrum band.
